1983 TVR Tasmin

TVR Tasmin

The TVR TASMIN is rooted in the late seventies. This is obvious by its looks: the clear lines of the angular design. The colour gold combined with light-coloured Connolly leather was totally en vogue in the early eighties. As a true sports car the Tasmin is constructed on a tubular lattice frame. The technical design of the chassis and other parts were strongly influenced by Lotus, because the Tasmins engineers had been recruited from the House of Lotus. The excellent performance of the TVR sports car was the result of a very favourable ratio between the very light vehicle and its very powerful engine. With the car weighing in at less than 1000 kg, the 2.8 litre turbo engine produces 228 HP.
