1966 Austin Sprite MkIII

Austin Sprite MkIII

My '66 Austin-Healey Sprite MKIII. These cars are the same as the MG Midget, thus the moniker Spridgets are often associated with them.
Mine is a real head turner, primarily because of the special paint job.
The engine compartment is also painted in the same fashion.
I bought this car on eBay and had to fly to Oregon to pick it up, then drive it 1100 miles home to So California. It did great until the clutch blew out on the Golden Gate Bridge! So I had it towed to a great Brit Car repair place in the SF area and they gave her a new clutch, brakes etc
The only other work I have had to do was a fuel pump, which I replaced myself. Now it drives like a charm. I love to take it down Decker Canyon Road to Malibu. These cars LOVE twisty roads.
The only add-on I am considering at this point is a sway bar, and maybe a suspension upgrade. What do you think?
Yeah Baby!
