1968 Ford Thunderbird

Ford Thunderbird

FOR SALE in our classifieds

selling my 1968 ford thunderbird. This aint your grandpas t-bird!! This is a beautiful and badass looking car; well-cared for a definite head-turner with the suicide doors, pop-up headlights, and snakeskin-vinyl roof.

-429 ThunderJet Engine- Title In Hand! - $13,000 O.B.O.

only 72,000 original miles on this car! Yes original! I am only the 3rd owner and i purchased this vehicle from a friends garage in Vista, Ca. He found the vehicle sitting on a lot in Florida where the original owner had kept it in storage for nearly 20 years!

This is an awesome buy for somebody who wants a reliable running classic car with lots of personality. This 68 t-bird is a classic luxary cruiser in every way. Wait until you come drive this thing.

-72,000 original miles
-stock parts, kept original
-suicide doors! (seriously badass)
-woodgrain/dash paneling
-flip-up headlights
-original leather interior/carpet in beautiful condition.
-Engine and Transmission rebuilt recently. (transmission still under warranty).
-all service records on hand. oil changed and maintained.
-Vinyl Roof restored and in exxcellent condition.
-disk brakes
-8 track player (cd/ipod player also installed)
-shop wire diagrams / vacuum diagrams included
-doesnt need to be smogged.... EVER!
-Mechanically this car is solid.

-Vacuum lines leak/need replaced. (this causes the windows at times to not roll down the flip headlights to stick)
-Wiring needs work. There is an slow drain in the electrical work that will kill the battery. Ive temporarily fixed this problem by attaching a killswitch to the battery that disconnects it when the car is parked, but you will likely want to have some electrical work done.
-Drivers side inside door panel broke off. (still have the panel)
-trunk key lock broke (must be opened from a button in the glovebox, could be fixed for $20 or so)
-paint is fading and chipping. this is mostly along the top of the hood and the trunk.
-minor scratches
-ac/heater not strong

I really love this car. I am ONLY selling it because a new project on a 67 Shelby GT 350 needs funding. Needs to go to a good owner who respects and admires this classic glamour bird.
