My love of Air-cooled VWs

My love of Air-cooled VWsHere is my story

My brother-in-law,actor Hakeem Kae Kazim, had a white convertible beetle,he traded it in for the ghia(he always wanted one) back in 1999-2000, Ghia had lots of servicing done to it(brakes, wiring, new 1600 sub assembly, interior, sprayjob).I always liked the car,but only realised recently how great this car is (the compliments, attention it brings haha). Anyway,my sister and bro-in-law moved to Los Angeles at the end of 2005,leaving the ghia in our garage. It only came out in march this year(after bro came down and sorted out the licence that was 6 years behind), once that was sorted out we slowly started working on the car to get it on the road. She is now running beautifully.

I have a close-knit group of friends who all share the same passion for Air-cooled Vws...your can check out our Facebook pages (Aircooled Fanatics and It's not a car..it's a Karmann Ghia)

I am also currently restoring a 1960 Karmann Ghia which we fetched in St Helena Bay, I named her Helena.

Article relates to this car:
VW Karmann Ghia
1963 VW Karmann Ghia
This car will undergo a full restoration soon, at the moment it is a daily driver
