Stichting Club van Alfa Romeo Bezitters SCARBSpettacolo Sportivo May 5th and 6th TT track Assen. Celebrating 50 years of Alfa Romeo Giulia at SCARB club weekend. After three years at Zandvoort the SCARB, largest Alfa Romeo club in the Netherlands, returns to the famous TT Circuit of Assen for its club weekend that brings in Alfisti from all over Europe. This year it is 50 years ago that the Giulia was presented, the striking and innovative model that brought sporty driving within reach of the common man. The Spettacolo Sportivo celebrates the Giulia anniversary with a great line up of the different versions, a parade and an exhibition. Each year the SCARB is challenged to display rare and special Alfa Romeos to the public. This year a group of classic police cars will drive down from Italy, where the fleet of the Polizia and Carabinieri for decades consisted of mostly Alfa Romeos. There is also a demo show of Formula Boxer and Formula 3000 racing cars. Program From April 1st the full program and other useful information will be published on www.spettacolosportivo.eu. Among the program items are official races in the Alfa Romeo Challenge, driving skills improvement courses, a slalom competition and track driving for club members. The youngest Alfisti are invited to come to the Alfa Kids Club. The SCARB expects 1400 Alfa Romeos and 10000 visitors to show up over the weekend. The event is officially supported by Alfa Romeo of the Netherlands and the Direzione dell’Automobilismo Storico Alfa Romeo from the works in Italy. Paddocks and grandstands are open to the public both days. Visitors are able to watch the preparation of the racing cars close by. There’s a special class for foreign visitors for track driving.
