2012 Inaugural Concorso Atlantico Omni Amelia Island

2012 Inaugural Concorso Atlantico Omni Amelia IslandThe celebration of the exotic vehicles of Italy was made possible by the first ever Concorso Atlantico at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort on Amelia Island, FL on Saturday, March 10th, 2012. Invitations were extended to owners of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia and other vehicles of Italian heritage.

We as fellow car enthusiasts can agree that Italy's car manufacturers and design houses has always been praised for bringing the most striking and coveted exotics to this world!

Just this year the famous Italian marques - The Ferrari 250 GTO - is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2012. This extremely sought after classic car reaches in excess of $15 Million USD on the extremely rare occasion it changes hands. Less than 40 of these cars were ever built.

To put these red cars from Maranello aside for second, other classics that changed our perspective during our childhoods and life of classic car enthusiasts include the Alfa Romeo 2300 8C, the flamboyant Lamborghini Countach and the Maserati Tip 61 Birdcage.

Owners of these and other special production vehicles were also welcomed to put these beauties on display at the event.
