1979 Jaguar XJ6

Jaguar XJ6

When Jaguar introduced the XJ6 in 1968 they had succeeded in blending high standards of comfort, smooth performance, driving behaviour and road grip all into one - qualities which until then were thought to be incompatible in luxury cars. The XJ6 surpassed the best car makes in Europe and became the foundation for 20 successful years. It performed like an E-type, but at the same time it cruised along more smoothly and more gently than a Rolls-Royce. In addition, the XJ6 was one of the most beautiful luxury cars of its time - a car with feline dynamics and an organic muscularity which proved impressively persistent.
